So, Week 5, and the schedule.
- Three objectives
- 1. Time to take a benchmark look at our blogs, sites and pick on the lecturer's site for being quite so badly designed for SEO.
- Here's how - go to SocialButterfly's post on 9 web analytic sites
- Pick one or more of the sites.
- Run your blog through the site metrics
- Amuse yourself by comparing your scores against either www.stephendann.net or http://mktg2032.wordpress.com/
- Start exploring options for upgrading and enhancing your own scores
- 2. Blog content. If you're on a weekly schedule, take the time to run some content. Practice with Del.icio.us, back-linking, or surfing through Technorati to find a topic. Also check out Copyblogger on content development
- 3. Have a bit of fun with the lab session. Push the envelop a bit on your skills, try something new, and don't be afraid of breaking the Internet by pressing strange buttons on unknown control panels....
- Other class based activity
- Load Twitter up in the background, and use it to ask for help, or offer help back to each other.
- See if you can't get PhotoShop Express to work in the lab
- Other suggestions? leave them in the comments
